Sorry about the duplication, looked in the wrong place and thought I undid the comment.

  2. Marilyn says:

Thank you. I have a non-knitting friend who will enjoy the ‘bonus’ gift of knitted ribbon on her gift this year.

Thank you. I have a friend (non-knitting…great quilter) who will enjoy the ‘bonus’ gift of knitted ribbon on her gift this year.

I have tried Chrome, Firefox, and IE and still cannot download the pattern. I have changed all the settings according to your help file and still it does not work. What now?

  5. Susan says:

Thank you so much for the beautiful ribbon pattern. I can’t wait to use it this Christmas.

  6. Mary says:

I too am having problems downloading the Knitted Ribbons Pattern. It locks up right after I hit the Download button. Then, I get a message at the top that says there might be a problem with this website and to try again. I have tried numerous times today and when this pattern was first mentioned in an E mail to me. Please can you fix it?

Mary, That message sounds like the type that happens when your computer settings are set to automatically block content from being pushed down to your computer. Try again after you revise the settings on your computer to allow your computer to prompt you to accept downloads. If you are using IE for your web browser, Beverly shared steps to revise your security settings here – Security settings to un-block downloads.

I’ve tried all suggestions but I cannot get the website to let me download for free. Help!!!

  8. Beverly says:

    Jackie,
Thank you so much for the ribbon patterns. I will be mailing gifts this year instead of delivering them in person, and these won’t get squashed! Thanks, too, for putting it up in Nov. to give me time to make them.

  9. Brenda Holder says:

Thank you so much Jackie, I love them, my daughter who lives in South Africa, will too. She is healing from breast cancer, she had the op, then she had six months chemo now she has to have ten months of herceptin, which is just as dangerous..
Some friends got her making beautiful cards, and she would just love the ribbons to decorate them with. I live in Australia.

    Have an awesome day Jackie.
love from Brenda and a hug too

  10. Sylvia says:

This is a great idea. I much prefer this to buying all that ribbon that just gets thrown away. I just love your patterns and I am so glad I joined.
When I get some time, I am going to browse around in your archives. I love knitting lace but don’t do it too often as I have all boys and I tend to knit sweaters, afghans, socks – but not lace. They will be getting lace ribbons on their Christmas gifts this year though. 🙂

  11. Rita says:

Thank you, Jackie. My ribbon stash is getting low, now I can just knit them. What a great stash busting project too.

  12. Cityplay says:

This is a very generous offer. THANK YOU!
Unfortunately, I cannot download the pattern either. I get the”download”button, but no file downloads.

    • jackiees says:

The web browser you are using might be blocking the download. Either try a different web browser. Or if using IE, you can follow Beverly’s steps in the Help section above to change your security settings to unblock downloads: Security settings to un-block downloads

I too have had numerous problems with this site for months and been unable to download the free patterns. Yep, using IE8. There is apparently some major issue with this browser. I tried Bev’s tips for changing Security tab settings, several times over. No luck. The page goes in circles; if I try to reload it after a failure, “Error on page” displays in message bar at bottom. I have to close the page and start over.

Today I reviewed every single tab on the IE8 Internet Options box. In the Privacy tab, I changed the setting to “Low” (drag the slider), clicked “Apply”, then clicked “OK”. Voila! the pattern file downloaded easily. I hope this tip helps some others.

Thank you so much for letting us know. I have added this to the help section on Security Settings to un-block downloads.

  13. Marlene says:

So generous of you to give us this lovely holiday idea – I’ll be making several, something original for the Christmas packages – thank you so much!

  14. Sherry says:

The site doesn’t recognize me as a member even though I am logged in. Won’t let me do the free download.

  15. Victoria says:

Thanks sooo much Jackie!! I love wrapping packages for Christmas and other special occasions. This ribbon pattern is so unique.

  16. knitsnit says:

Thank you Jackie. The ribbon patterns will be nice to have when we travel in the car. Here on Camano Is. we go a distance to the store etc. Love sparkle at Christmas time. Judie

  17. Lauren says:
