Sock blockers that are both beautiful and practical! These were designed and handmade exclusively for HeartStrings. They have a unique design that is functional at both ends to accommodate 2 sock foot sizes. Made of non-warping laminated hardwoods, beveled edges, sealed with four hand rubbed coats of polyurethane, and polished to a mirror finish.

These blockers are a work of beauty for display even when not being used to block socks! Sets are available in 3 sizes. Each set comes with 2 sock blockers in the same size.

Knit a miniature version of the red, white and blue U.S. flag. The lacy stripes and beaded stars symbolize the flag proudly waving in the breeze. Finished size approximately 3" by 5". NOTE: PATTERN NOT INCLUDED. Please purchase downloadable e-Pattern separately.

Supplies Pak includes 3 balls of size 8 DMC pearl cotton, size 11/0 Miyuki Japanese glass seed beads, and collapsing eye twisted wire needle for easy stringing of the beads. Enough materials to make several mini flags.

Note: I have run out of colors as made for the original sample. Your supplies pak will include threads in ecru, imperceptibly different shade of red, and your choice of wedgewood #311 or navy blue #823 (wedgewood is slightly lighter). Beads are pearl ceylon to coordinate with the ecru thread. You can't go wrong with either choice depending on whether you prefer an Early Americana or Country Americana look.

Beaded Winter Wonderland Socks are reminiscent of a winter scene. There are beaded stylized Norwegian snowflakes, snowdrifts, pine trees, and lightly fallen snow. The cuff is sideways knitted in garter stitch; the remainder of sock is knitted in the round.

  • top quality 80% superwash wool 20% nylon fingering weight sock yarn in color natural - enough to make up to the largest size (woman's shoe size US 12)

• silver-lined crystal seed beads for the stylized Norwegian snowflake and snow drifts
• beads in choice of 4 color schemes for the beaded trees:
• a nylon collapsing eye 'needle' to help you easily string the beads onto the yarn
• a clear drawstring bag to protect your luxury yarns and beads, and for carrying other small knitting projects later.

The beads are the Miyuki brand, manufactured in Japan, with consistently high quality that won't abrade the thread and the finish will not rub off.

Knit this short ascot-like scarf and wear a heart on your heart. The knitted lace mesh simulates the look of filet lace crochet or darned netting, but is actually knitted. A boldly outlined heart motif at each of end of the scarf is set against the background of lace mesh.

High quality Japanese glass seed beads (a.k.a. round rocailles) by Miyuki in size 11/0 (2 mm diameter). Use this size bead for stringing on lace weight yarns and fine threads like size 8 perle cotton, size 10 crochet thread, and size 5/2 tencel thread or finer.

Beads are packaged in clear zip-top bags for easy handling; no tubes to roll around or tops popping off and spilling beads. Approximately 1550 - 1650 per 15g bag unless otherwise noted (mixes come in smaller 12g bags).
