Knit a miniature version of the red, white and blue U.S. flag. The lacy stripes and beaded stars symbolize the flag proudly waving in the breeze. Finished size approximately 3" by 5". NOTE: PATTERN NOT INCLUDED. Please purchase downloadable e-Pattern separately.

Supplies Pak includes 3 balls of size 8 DMC pearl cotton, size 11/0 Miyuki Japanese glass seed beads, and collapsing eye twisted wire needle for easy stringing of the beads. Enough materials to make several mini flags.

Note: I have run out of colors as made for the original sample. Your supplies pak will include threads in ecru, imperceptibly different shade of red, and your choice of wedgewood #311 or navy blue #823 (wedgewood is slightly lighter). Beads are pearl ceylon to coordinate with the ecru thread. You can't go wrong with either choice depending on whether you prefer an Early Americana or Country Americana look.

Easy-to-knit two-color socks with spiraling stripes give the simple tube sock a peppermint twist. No grafting needed for the spiral decrease toes and no heel shaping either! You can make several to keep on hand for unplanned gifts, since the adaptable tube shape fits any foot length.

High quality Japanese glass seed beads by Miyuki in size 5/0 (5 mm diameter). Also referred to as "E" beads.

Beads are packaged in clear zip-top bags for easy handling; no tubes to roll around or tops popping off and spilling beads. Approximately 110 per 15g bag.

Reminiscent of Irish heritage and Black Watch plaid colors. This is the yarn and color pictured for March's Beyond BOBBOL 2014 KAL of Spring Lace Leaves Scarf. 1 skein is all you need if you want to make the scarf.

Yarn is Lorna's Laces Shepherd Sock, a hand-dyed soft and durable fingering weight yarn in 80% superwash wool/20% nylon yarn. Comes in a 2 ounce skein of 215 yards.

Beads are not included in the scarf pattern, but if you want to add a bit of sparkle with Miyuki beads, possible suggestions are #277 Green-lined Crystal AB and #269 Ice Blue-lined Crystal AB

A snuggly lap blanket or afghan is a comfort to knit and give to loved ones. Here is a design for a handsome small blanket in a "warm hearts" theme appropriate for anyone.
